Ali Banakar (b. 1977, Isfahan) is an Iranian designer, painter, photographer, and video artist whose expressive and contemporary approach redefines the human body—particularly the female form—while exploring parallel worlds. Drawing has always been an integral part of his creative process, serving as a fundamental basis for his paintings. Through mixed-media techniques, layering, and deconstruction, he forges a distinctive artistic language. Beyond painting, his practice extends into stage design, environmental art, and cinema, where his work in theater and film—directing plays, short films, and documentaries—further expands his engagement with interdisciplinary art forms.
